The We Care, Inc. Endowment Fund
For 40 years, We Care, Inc has addressed the needs of older persons and persons with disabilities through the following programs: Meals on Wheels, Transportation, and Food Pantry.
This Agency Fund (DAF) was started in December of 2011 by We Care, Inc. The purpose of the fund is to provide a permanent annual source of revenue for the operations of We Care, Inc.
In December of 2011, the We Care, Inc. Board of Directors, entered into a fund agreement with the Morton Community Foundation to establish an endowed Agency fund to benefit We Care, Inc. A permanent endowment fund gives organizations the opportunity to create a fund that generates investment income, year after year, which can be drawn down in set annual payments to the organization, or reinvested in the fund to grow over time. The permanence of an endowment fund is both appealing and reassuring to donors and nonprofit boards of directors who seek the enduring value of a dedicated source of income to support the organization they love, today and forever.
