Congratulations on receiving a grant from the Morton Community Foundation!
Now that you’ve received a grant from the Morton Community Foundation, here are some things to consider regarding publicizing your program or project and the grant you received. If you have any questions, please call our office at 309-291-of34.
The Morton Community Foundation publicizes grants and grant stories through media relations, social media, publications, and our website. We encourage you to share success stories and photos so we can promote partnerships to make the Morton area an even better place than it is already.
What you can do…
A grant from the Morton Community Foundation is a partnership. Your story is our story. It is also an occasion for the Community Foundation to acknowledge our donors and let them know how their gifts are being used to improve the quality of life in our community both today and forever. You can publicize the Community Foundation’s support in a number of ways:
Your website - Create a link on your website to the Community Foundation. You can also include our logo where appropriate. See logo use details below.
Contact local media - Using this sample press release, contact local news organizations (such as Peoria Journal Star or Courier Publishing Co) to let them know about your project and your grant from the Morton Community Foundation. We would be happy to provide a quote for your press release that is specific to your organization.
Tell your community - Share information about the grant through your newsletters, annual reports, lists of supporters, and social media. When announcing the grant on social media, link to us on Facebook by clicking HERE. Use the MCF logo when appropriate and send us a high-resolution version of your logo. Click HERE to email.
Logo use…
We encourage you to use our logo where suitable. To obtain a copy of the MCF logo, please contact the MCF office so that we can determine the best type of logo for your purposes, and email it to you.
If the logo is to be placed on a colored or photographic background, a transparent background on the logo is required. Please do not place the logo in a white box on a non-white background. Only scale the logo proportionately. Do not skew or distort the logo’s aspect ratio (altering the height or the width independent of the other).
Following is the currently acceptable logo for publication. It includes the words, Gather Grow Grant underneath it. If you have an MCF logo you’ve used previously, you should replace it with one that looks like this…
Use the following language to acknowledge your grant from the Morton Community Foundation: “This project was funded (or… funded in part) by a grant from the Morton Community Foundation.”
Stickers are available through the Morton Community Foundation in two sizes that may be applied to items you have purchased with an MCF Community Grant. Call the MCF office if you would like stickers. 309.291.0434.
