Endowment Investments...
The endowment fund investments of the Morton Community Foundation are pooled with the investments of the Community Foundation of Central IL (CFCI). The investment strategy of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois Endowment (and thus the investment strategy of the Morton Community Foundation) is to emphasize total return; that is, the aggregate return from capital appreciation and dividend and interest income.
The primary objective for the investment management for Endowment assets shall be: Long-Term Growth of Capital – To emphasize long-term growth of principal while avoiding risk. Short-term volatility will be tolerated to the extent that it is consistent with the volatility of a comparable market index.
