Leadership Forever Fund

Securing the Morton Community Foundation’s Future, Forever

The Leadership Forever Fund was established in February 2008 by the Board of Trustees of the Morton Community Foundation to provide a permanent source of income to support the Foundation’s operating budget. This endowed fund ensures that the Foundation has the resources to continue connecting people who care with causes that matter—today and for generations to come.

Why This Fund Matters

Unlike our grantmaking funds that support community projects and nonprofits, the Leadership Forever Fund supports the operations of the Morton Community Foundation itself. This includes the essential work of:

  • Managing charitable funds

  • Administering scholarships and community grants

  • Providing expert support for donors and nonprofits

Although the Foundation charges a minimal administrative fee on the funds it manages, those fees alone do not cover the cost of operations. This endowment fills the gap—ensuring long-term sustainability without compromising our ability to serve the community.

How It Works

As an endowed fund, the principal is never spent. Only a portion of the earnings is used each year to support operating needs, while the rest is reinvested to keep growing for the future. This model guarantees stability and sustainability for generations.

Your Impact

A gift to the Leadership Forever Fund is an investment in the Foundation’s future—and in the continued strength of our community. By supporting operations, you enable us to provide the tools, expertise, and infrastructure that make charitable giving easy, effective, and enduring.
