Jeff Muniz serves as Division Communications Manager at Caterpillar, bringing extensive experience in communications, media relations, social media, strategic planning, and nonprofit leadership. He earned a Bachelor of Journalism and a minor in Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, along with a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Before joining Caterpillar, Jeff worked as a news anchor, reporter, and meteorologist at WEEK-TV in Peoria from 2001 to 2010. Guided by a desire to give back and help others through the blessings and talents he’s been given, Jeff also devotes his time to youth sports coaching and community service.

Jeff’s wife, Bliss, is a Spanish teacher at Morton High School. They have three daughters—Mary Kate, a sophomore at Illinois State University; Allee, a sophomore at Morton High School; and Linsee, a freshman at Morton High School. Jeff believes the Morton Community Foundation is a meaningful way to give back to a generous community that has supported local parks, schools, and nonprofits for decades, and he is proud to be part of its ongoing mission.
