TCRC Endowment Fund

Supporting TCRC’s Exceptional Care, Treatment, and Advocacy

The TCRC Endowment Fund is an Agency Endowment established in 2010 by TCRC to provide a dependable, long-term stream of support for the organization’s operations. Investment earnings from this permanent fund help TCRC deliver exceptional care, treatment, advocacy, and life-skills services—promoting independence and self-sufficiency for individuals and families from birth through seniors. TCRC’s services promote independence and self-sufficiency to strengthen individuals and families. TCRC offers a wide array of programs and services that benefit persons with developmental disabilities and visual impairments who live and work in our community. The agency operates twelve facilities located in Tazewell County, Illinois.

How the fund began

During TCRC’s 2009–2010 capital campaign for the Highland Street Center in Morton, the organization opened a pass-through project fund at the Morton Community Foundation to receive gifts. After the project was fully funded, TCRC converted that project fund into a permanent agency endowment. A generous gift from Dan and Lynne Walters then brought the fund to the $10,000 minimum so annual grantmaking could begin.

Why it matters

TCRC’s work changes lives every day—providing therapies, supports, and opportunities that help people build skills, find community, and thrive. By pooling gifts in an endowment where the principal is preserved, this fund creates reliable support year after year, ensuring those services remain strong well into the future.
