Cindy Honegger and her husband Andy have been married 27 years and have called Morton home for over two decades, after the two met in Boston. They have two daughters — Sarah, who is attending medical school at Creighton University in Phoenix, and Katie, who is earning her Master's Degree in Education through the PACE program while teaching primary school in Beaverton, Oregon. Cindy grew up in San Diego and worked as a pediatric traveling RN after college, spending many years at Boston Children's Hospital with a focus on pediatric oncology.
Since moving to Morton, Cindy has been deeply involved in the community through Blessed Sacrament School and Parish, serving as Auction Coordinator, Education Commission President, and PTO Board member, as well as a SmartArt teacher and coordinator, Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound, and Religious Education teacher for second grade. She has also volunteered with the Neighborhood House through the St. Vincent de Paul Society, supported Morton High School Girls Soccer and Cross Country/Track, and served as the Potter Card Fundraiser Coordinator for Morton High School PTO. Cindy currently serves as Volunteer Coordinator for the Morton Pumpkin Festival. The Honeggers are enthusiastic supporters of the Morton Chamber and the broader Morton community.
"I’m starting my 7th year as a Morton Community Foundation Trustee and I love all MCF contributes to our community. I am proud to be a part of such a generous organization."
