Heart of Illinois Skating Club Endowment Fund

This fund was started by the board of the Heart of Illinois Skating Club, in May of 2025. The purpose of the Fund is to provide annual grants to assist Heart of Illinois Skating Club in fulfilling its charitable goals.

The Heart of Illinois Skating Club is a member club of U.S. Figure Skating based out of the Owens Center in Peoria, IL. The Heart of Illinois Skating Club exists to promote the growth and development of figure skaters in Central Illinois as well as to support the education and promotion of U.S. Figure Skating within our community.

It is the goal of HOISC to provide a positive and supportive environment for figure skaters of all ages to develop their skills.  We work to provide venues for the enjoyment of figure skating for both skaters and spectators alike.

Early in 2011, we applied for and were granted 501(c)(3) tax exempt status with the federal government.  From our various fundraising efforts, we have been able to provide valuable ice time for our skaters and coaches necessary for them to develop their skills; to provide test sessions in which the skaters can test their abilities to advance in the U.S. Figure Skating levels of achievement; and to host local competitions for skaters.  Furthermore, we look forward to providing our community with entertaining figure skating shows featuring our local skaters and guest skaters.

Our Mission: The Heart of Illinois Skating Club exists to promote the growth and development of figure skaters in Central Illinois as well as to support the education and promotion of U.S. Figure Skating within our community.

If you’re passionate about the development of young skaters and the future of figure skating in our community, a gift to the Heart of Illinois Skating Club Endowment Fund is a meaningful way to make a lasting impact. This permanently endowed fund, held at the Morton Community Foundation, provides a reliable source of annual grant support to help the Club continue its mission—nurturing skaters of all levels, promoting excellence on and off the ice, and sharing the joy of skating with the public. Your donation today becomes a legacy of support that helps ensure the Heart of Illinois Skating Club can thrive for generations to come.
