This endowment fund was established in 2025 by a Chris & Shelly Arvin to provide ongoing support for Empower Life Center, a ministry of Pathway Ministries in Peoria, Illinois. Through this fund, donors can help ensure that Empower Life Center continues offering free, confidential, and compassionate services to women and men facing an unexpected or challenging pregnancy—today and for generations to come.
About Empower Life Center
Located at 1825 N Knoxville Avenue in Peoria, Empower Life Center has been serving the community for decades with practical help and hopeful encouragement.
Their medical and support team walks alongside women, men, and families by offering:
Lab-quality pregnancy testing
Ultrasounds to confirm viability, gestational age, and pregnancy location
STI testing and treatment
Pregnancy options counseling and education
Classes and ongoing support for parents
After-abortion support and care for those seeking healing
All services are free of charge, confidential, and available regardless of insurance status, creating a safe, non-judgmental space for people who need clear information and compassionate guidance.

How the Endowment Works
Gifts to the Empower Life Center Endowment are invested for long-term growth at the Morton Community Foundation.
Your contribution is pooled with other gifts in the fund.
The principal is preserved, while a portion of the investment earnings is distributed each year to Empower Life Center to support its mission.
Over time, as the fund grows, annual distributions can grow as well, expanding the reach of Empower Life Center’s services in Peoria and the surrounding region.

Donate by check: Make it payable to Morton Community Foundation and mail it to 135 S First Ave, Morton, IL 61550. Please write “Empower Life Center” on the memo line.
