Dear Friends of MCF,

As we start another fiscal year at the Morton Community Foundation, it is a real pleasure to write to you with good news.

The Morton Community Foundation continues to grow and impact Morton. Despite the economic challenges of the past few years, MCF has continued to award and facilitate grants that enhance the quality of life in Morton. This past fiscal year, the MCF presented grants and scholarships totaling over $44,000, and served as the conduit for donors, making additional gifts from pass-through funds and donor advised funds totaling over $402,500 - a total impact of $446,500 for charities and organizations on behalf of Morton area residents. 

We readily acknowledge that we do not and cannot accomplish this alone. It is only through the generosity of friends like you that we have the ability to accomplish our mission. 

The Foundation is an asset to our community…an asset that is local, connected and permanent. We are asking for your support of the MCF Operating Fund (the “Today and Tomorrow Fund”). Your gift to this fund helps us remain a strong and vital force for bettering the quality of life for Morton area residents. Although we have a variety of income sources for Operating Income, we hope to receive 7% of our needs from individuals like yourselves. In fact, we have set this fiscal year’s “Individual Donors” fundraising target at $10,000. Your gift in any amount is greatly needed and very much appreciated.

Today and Tomorrow Fund (Operating Fund)

Donors may make donations to this fund to support the current and ongoing internal costs of operating the Morton Community Foundation and to support the growth of its activities.

Our Today and Tomorrow Fund (Operating Fund) supports the day-to-day operations of the Morton Community Foundation.

The Community Foundation enables donors to give back to our community by establishing various types of charitable funds, including scholarships and awards, nonprofit endowments, field of interest funds and donor advised funds.  We offer these services through a very small, efficient staff and a business plan that maximizes efficiencies while reducing costs.

Although the Community Foundation charges a minimal management fee to administer the charitable funds under its umbrella, this income is not enough to support our work.
