Leadership Forever Fund (Operations Endowment Fund)

Donors may make donations this permanent endowment fund to support the current and ongoing internal costs of operating the Morton Community Foundation and to support the growth of its activities.

Our Leadership Forever Fund (Endowed Operating Fund) supports the day-to-day operations of the Morton Community Foundation.  This fund differs from the Today and Tomorrow Fund in that the Leadership Forever Fund is an "endowment", building a permanent source of income for our operations.  Endowment funds are designed to protect the principal of the fund.  i.e.  Our goal is to spend only a portion of the earnings from the invested funds, leaving the principal and any unspent earnings to continue generating income for the future.

The Community Foundation enables donors to give back to our community by establishing various types of charitable funds, including scholarships and awards, nonprofit endowments, field of interest funds and donor advised funds.  We offer these services through a very small, efficient staff and a business plan that maximizes efficiencies while reducing costs.

Although the Community Foundation charges a minimal management fee to administer the charitable funds under its umbrella, this income is not enough to support our work.
